At the corner of the entrance to Parkade Baptist Church sits a Reborn Blessing Box. It is one of many located throughout the Columbia city. Its purpose is to be a blessing for those in need of essentials without causing shame for being in need.

The Blessing Box is also a reminder to those who have plenty that they can provide a blessing to others in our community. We are reminded in Deuteronomy 15:11, 

“For there will never cease to be poor in the land.  Therefore, I command you, 'You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land."

The Blessing Box is for all. Those in need may freely receive the gifts inside it and those with plenty may freely place their abundance on its shelves.
